Security areas

Please note the different safety areas at the fireworks competition and familiarise yourself with the different picnic and standing areas in the spectator area.

NEW: Front-of-Row areas

For this year's International Fireworks Competition in the Herrenhausen Gardens, limited "front-of-row" seating will be offered for the first time. These seats refer to the chair and lawn areas within the three fingers in the area directly adjacent to the fireworks show.

The three fingers are divided into the zones ORANGE, BLUE and PINK. Upon entering one of these zones, each visitor receives a correspondingly coloured ribbon, which grants access to the respective zone for the entire duration of the event.

Please note that the respective zones are divided into chair and lawn areas. Visitors with a chair are placed along the flowerbeds on the gravelled area, visitors with a picnic blanket are placed on the lawn area.

The number of seats in the respective zones is limited and when the maximum capacity is reached, no further visitors are granted access to the respective zone.

The principle here is: first come, first serve!

The measures were adopted because the safety of visitors is the top priority. By controlling and regulating the use of these areas, the flow of visitors can be better channelled and escape routes can be kept clear at all times.

Departure regulations

Please note that the traffic measures will only be implemented at the start of the fireworks display and only apply to the departure after the event! There are no special regulations for travelling to the event. We also recommend that all visitors travel by public transport.

The admission ticket is valid on the day of the event from three hours before the start of the event until 05:00 on the following day as a ticket for all public transport in the entire GVH fare zone (zones ABC). The "Herrenhäuser Gärten" stop (lines 4 and 5) is located directly at the entrances to the fireworks competition.
