1. Scope of application

This declaration on accessibility applies to the website of the: Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH www.maschseefest.de / www.feuerwerk-hannover.de

2. Legal basis

This website endeavours to maintain its web presence in accordance with the Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) barrier-free accessibility.

3. Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is Partly barrier-free. The requirements of BITV 2.0 are partially fulfilled.

4. Methodology of the audit

The accessibility check was carried out as part of a Self-assessment by the HMTG. Individual elements were randomly checked using technical testing tools. A comprehensive external audit is currently being planned.

5. Non-accessible content

Some areas are currently still Not completely barrier-free:

• • PDF documents and embedded media: Some older PDF files are not barrier-free. Embedded videos also do not always have subtitles or audio descriptions.
  • Alternative texts: Images, especially in older articles, sometimes do not have sufficient alternative texts.
  • Contrasts & keyboard navigation: Certain navigation and design elements do not yet have sufficient contrast throughout or are not fully accessible via the keyboard.

Planned measures:

• • Step-by-step revision of PDFs and image content.
  • Optimisation of colour contrasts and navigation.
  • Integration of accessible multimedia elements.
