About Finland - Suomen Pyrotekniikka

Founded in 2003 by cousins Aki and Simo Niittymäki, Suomen Pyrotekniikka Oy has developed into Finland's largest fireworks company in just two decades. With almost 300 shows a year, the team now shapes the industry - a particular record was 67 fireworks displays in just one day on New Year's Eve 2019. SPT is also a name to be reckoned with internationally: three-time Finnish champion and multiple awards at prestigious competitions, including victories in Riga (2017) and Courchevel (2020). At the Pyronale in Berlin 2023, the team secured 2nd place and the Audience Award. The biggest fireworks display in Finland's history was unforgettable: the impressive staging for the 100th anniversary of independence on 31 December 2016 in Helsinki. Precision, passion and innovative spirit make SPT one of the leading representatives of European fireworks art today.

Theme of the show

Magic between winter and autumn - Arctic Colors of Lapland

With Arctic Colours of Lapland the Finnish team takes the audience into the fascinating natural world of Lapland - a region characterised by clear contrasts and intense colours. The show follows the two most impressive seasons in the far north: winter and autumn.

In the first part, winter spreads across the skies of the Herrenhausen Gardens. Glistening white snow, a deep blue starry sky and the mysterious glow of the Northern Lights are reflected in sparkling effects and cool colour compositions. Like dancing auroras, veils of light sweep across the firmament and create an atmosphere of silent, arctic vastness.

The second part is dedicated to autumn - the time when Lapland's nature prepares for the long winter. Trees and shrubs bathe the landscape in warm shades of yellow, orange and red. This natural spectacle, called „Ruska“ in Finland, unfolds as a glowing explosion of colour over Hanover and transforms the night sky into an impressive painting of Nordic beauty.
