About Sweden - Göteborgs FyrverkeriFabrik

Göteborgs FyrverkeriFabrik (GFF) was founded in 1994 by Martin Hildeberg and Anders Hållinder and is now one of the most renowned fireworks companies in Scandinavia. Since winning its first international competition in Knokke-Heist in 2001, the company has had a global presence - with appearances in Hanover, Rome, Montreal, San Sebastián, Shanghai and Manila. Hanover is a particularly successful location for GFF: Hildeberg has already competed here five times - each time emerging as the winner. He therefore has many fond memories of the city. In addition to competitions, GFF also organises concerts, sporting events and festivals with innovative pyromusicals. State-of-the-art technology such as Finale 3D, Pyrodigital and Galaxis systems ensure maximum precision - and so GFF stands for creative shows that set standards worldwide.

Theme of the show

A journey through the vastness of the universe - Sky High

Inspired by the compulsory piece „Jupiter“ from the suite The Planets by Gustav Holst, the Swedish team takes the audience on a sonorous journey through the infinite expanses of the sky. Under the title Sky High the show combines monumental orchestral music with an impressive visual staging.

The musical journey takes us past the sun, moon and Mars and opens our eyes to the fascinating world of satellites, floating balloons and astronauts. In keeping with this, glowing planets, radiant suns and sparkling constellations appear in the sky above the Herrenhausen Gardens. Colours and shapes pick up on the dynamics of the composition and transform the firmament into a cosmic spectacle.

With powerful images, spherical moments and celestial luminosity, music and pyrotechnics merge into an impressive overall composition. For one evening, Hanover becomes the gateway to the universe - spectacular, majestic and in the truest sense of the word: sky-high.
